WHO WE ARE
At Lighthouse Education we believe that students come first. Many other schools make this claim, but the truth is, profits usually come first at most private schools.
We are a supportive community of like minded parents that choose to education our children to the highest possible standard whilst allowing children to find their way in this world.
The world is rapidly changing and what worked 30 years ago, no longer works today. The truth is, schools are based on a model from the 1800’s. Children were taught to be good employees in a factory. They were taught not to think, but simply to memorize what they were told and pass a test.
After much discussion, research and meetings with world changers from around the world we have identified three key areas children will need to excel in the future, regardless of their field of choice.
- Children no longer need to memorize large amounts of information, but they need to know where to look to find information. Quickly and efficiently deciding that which is important.
- Children need to be self-starters, but also need to be able to work well in a team environment. Whether that environment is in person, online, or collaborative.
- Children need to be good communicators. Able to communicate information effectively and with confidence.
